About This Site
I hate when you call in for custom service or assistance to any place where the automated system never gets you to a live person.
I hate when you get to a live person and they act like you are putting them out, even though they are getting paid to answer that damn phone.
I hate when you get assistance but can’t possibly comply with what you are asked to do. Or you’re speaking English (or whatever language you speak) and the person on the other end is speaking out of their butt. Don’t tell me what company policy is, tell me how you are going to fix my problem.
I hate that if you are a person who is down and out on their luck and you finally get over your pride and call for help, you are treated like a dog. I also hate that the systems set in place employ people who care only about their paycheck, not the person they are helping. And that if you want help, you have to jump through hoops and submit everything in a timely manner, even when the person on the other end might need you to call them 18 times just to get them to do their job. That is, if you can get through to begin with.
I also have a love/hate relationship with politics and see potential for political #fails here.
And I detest hearing that automated voice that tells you to press one for more options. It rarely gets you to more options, just more frustration.
What is wrong with this world and why can’t everyone just function as efficiently as I do?
I’ve created this blog to give us a place to vent, share and maybe help each other out. I’ll be posting stories of the irritating phone calls, poor emails and lack of them, frustrating interactions and down right wrong things that happen to and around me.
I’ll also be looking for your stories to share. Emailed submissions from readers will be included at random and at my discretion. Submissions may be edited for space, quality or privacy issues, but your stories will stay as close to your original as possible.
Submit your stories of annoying customer service, tech assistance, poor follow-up, etc from organizations, businesses, government agencies via email to press1fornooptions@gmail.com You may include video/video links or photos that you have the exclusive right to post. All submissions are moderated for privacy and content.
Please read the Submissions Guidelines Page for more information.
